Welcome back to another revelation post! I pray it finds you well. As the title suggests, this is actually two revelations I received and felt led to share. The first one I received one day while lighting a candle at work, and the second I received the next day listening to a sermon…also at work. It just goes to show the Lord speaks through many things, as you’ll see below:

Candle Revelation

The only thing stopping the small wick from catching fire is the wax surrounding it. No matter how close or how long I kept the flame next to the wick, it couldn’t hold a flame.

In the same way, sometimes it’s our environment that can hinder us from catching the fire of God, from burning with purpose or receiving the light of a revelation.

The end result is us living up to our necks in bondage. Be careful with who or what you’re surrounded by.

Sermon Revelation

I was listening to a powerful sermon that touched on the war in heaven between God and Lucifer. The man of God talked about how the first sin took place in heaven, and it caused me to realize that everywhere there is sin, there is chaos.

Even within ourselves, because our flesh and our spirit are at war constantly. It’s the same with the children of Israel throughout the old testament; because there was sin running rampant among them (consistently you’ll see the worship of false idols, child sacrifice, spiritual adultery just to name a few) they were in warfare with the surrounding nations and kingdoms.

Sin weakens your defense against the opposition of the enemy. Dying to self, having a (consistent) relationship with Christ and feasting on the Word of God is what’ll strengthen you, and give you peace which transcends all understanding that acts as a guard over your heart and mind. The warfare is inevitable, but it’s you’ve prepared that’ll determine if you’re dominated or the one doing the dominating.
