8 Ball Revelation

Greetings and welcome back to another Revelation post! I can’t exactly remember where I was when this revelation hit me, but regardless I pray it blesses and encourages you as it did me:

Timing is everything, just look at what happens as you’re playing pool (or 8 ball for you iPhone users). Imagine your goal is to hit all solids, and you’ve only got a few balls left yet you sink the 8 ball; you lose. Why is that? It’s because it wasn’t the right time to hit it in. You’ll know it’s time to shoot for the 8 ball because all the other balls you’re meant to hit are in their rightful places: within the pockets, meaning you have no other obligations or obstacles in your path. Now, what do you do before hitting the 8 ball? You call out which pocket you’re aiming for.

Now because we’re human, there’s a margin for error. We could miss and have to shoot again or accidentally sink the ball into a different spot than we called and forfeit the victory. Yet that’s how it is when we solely rely on ourselves; our skills, our coordination, and/or our judgement. What would happen if we relied on God? On His expertise, His judgement, and/or His timing? What if we allowed God to direct us into making a shot we didn’t initially think we could make? What if we let Him use our mouths to proclaim something we ourselves didn’t think possible?

What we have to understand is what we call forth isn’t of our own volition, but it’s the utterance of God, the ushering of Holy Spirit inside of us that urges us to proclaim a thing and causes us to speak life where death reigns and light where darkness dwells. Speak to the dry bones, not out of what you can perceive but out of obedience to what God Almighty is showing you; just because you can’t see it yet doesn’t mean it isn’t there or that it won’t happen. You’re relying on your own eyesight, but when you allow God to open your spiritual eyes, you won’t see dry bones, but a mighty army. You’ll do not what you want or feel like doing, but what God says. You’ll cry out and that army will be made manifest in the natural as it is in the spiritual.

Did not God say to Moses “I will be with your mouth” despite his protest? God stated in Exodus 4:11 “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord?” (NJKV). You may think a disability or diagnosis is your limit but when God calls you to a thing, nothing can stop the utterance; nothing can stop the plan of God for you.

When God begins to use you, partnering with you, allowing His power to flow through you, don’t be surprised when opposition comes. Remember that if God is for you, no one can successfully be against you (Romains 8:31). The opposition may be great, but greater is He that is in your than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). The process may be painful, but it’s the plan of God to prosper you in purpose. It’s all in God’s plan, and it’s all in God’s hand.

Rejoice for the Lord is your Shepard, and He can do all things but fail! Stay blessed, and until next time

JB
